Ballysillan Elim Pentecostal Church is a purposeful, forward thinking, dynamic church. We unashamedly proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ, his death on the cross and his subsequent resurrection as described in the Bible which is the final authority on all of what we believe. At Ballysillan Elim we believe that God wants to see all people discover their destiny and enjoy a life that is brimming over with opportunity, excitement and fulfilment. Our church is led by Pastor Tom McCann ably supported by a whole host of other great people. Pastor Tom came here in 2011 and along with the leadership has a vision for the Church and the community we serve, our goal is to reach out with the great gospel of Jesus Christ which brings Hope, Peace, Life and Salvation. We see our church as a family and seeks to make everyone feel at home, welcome and to feel accepted. Whether you are married, single, young or old we aim to be a family to all. Our church has been a witness of Christ to this part of Belfast since it began in 1925 when three Christians from the area could seen a great need met together to pray in what was a disused cinema known at the time as the hen house. The Lord moved in great power and blessing and through these prayer meetings many were saved and added to the kingdom and our church was formed, as the numbers grew it was decided in 1934 another hall was to be built on the site and it remained there for 75 years, then in 2009 it was demolished and the new church building we have now stands in its place. Our vision is to see the church filled, filled with the presence of God, filled with praise and worship unto our God and filled with prayer and with people and we hope it will remain a witness for another 95 years and more. We would love to have you join with us and be part of the blessing.
